The Sweet 'Khameeri Roti' of Robson All India

Recipe


1/2 kg wheat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tblsp sonf (powdered)
2 tblsp Khameer
1/2 cup milk (approx)
2-3 tblsp sugar
50 gm ghee(desi)

Mix together the wheat flour, salt sonf and khameer. Sweeten the milk with sugar and add it to the mixture. Knead into a soft dough for about fifteen minutes. Set aside. After a few hours, knead it again to allow it to rise.Keep it in a covered vessel in a warm place till it rises to twice its original size. Using the dough, make thick rotis, five to six inch in diameter. Roll them as you would phulkas. Bake them over an open fire.

Before serving , smear desi ghee on each hot roti
